Brazilian company Minerva, a leading beef exporter in South America, said Thursday (22) night it signed a partnership agreement with a major food processing company from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Saudi’s National Agriculture Development Company (Nadec).

Minerva reported the agreement is expected to boost sales opportunities across the region and has a huge potential to develop beef and lamb meat, thus contributing to the market consolidation of meat exports and the business pillar of getting closer and closer to the end customer.

“The company seeks to boost new business opportunities to meet the growing global demand for animal protein, always complying with our commitment to sustainability,” said Minerva.

According to the statement, Nadec is of the first agricultural and food companies in Saudi Arabia and one of the largest in the MENA region. Its operations include dairy, juices, vegetables, and other products of nutritional value.

Saudi fund SALIC owns almost a third of Minerva. The same fund has recently pledged to invest in another Brazilian food animal company, BRF.
