Brazil asserts position as top destination for Uruguayan exports

Uruguayan exports to Brazil grew by 26 percent in the year-on-year comparison, according to last January’s figures.
Uruguay XXI reported that Brazilian orders accounted for 22% of Uruguay’s total exports in the first month of the year, totaling $173 million.
Exports of malt, vehicles, beef, and rice were on the rise.
On the other hand, Uruguayan exports of dairy products slowed down, with a 13% drop.

China was the second-largest trading partner, at 13% of the total ($100 million).
