Revenue from chicken meat exports grows by 54% in September

SECEX (the federal government’s foreign trade secretariat) announced that exports of poultry meat and its edible offal (fresh, chilled, or frozen) in September increased compared to August this year and September last year. One of the main reasons is the protein’s competitiveness.

Revenue obtained from chicken meat exports in September was US$ 671,367,275, an increase of 54.7% compared to the September 2020 figure of US$ 434,036.307. In the case of exports, the 388,950,995 tons are 21.7% more than the total exported in September last year, of 319,519,715 tons.

Comparing the September result with the figures obtained in August, this month’s sales of US$ 671,367,275 are 8.5% higher than the US$ 618,204,448 of sales registered in August. The September volume of 388,950,995 tons increased by 10.7% compared to the August volume of 351,137,721 tons.

The daily revenue average for the 21 business days of September, US$ 31,969,870, was 54.68% higher than in September last year. Compared to the previous week, there was a 13% drop.

In terms of daily tonnage average, there were 18,521,475 tons handled, up 21.73% compared to the same month last year. When compared to the previous week, there was a decrease of 13.3%.

The price paid per ton of US$ 1,726.097 was 27.07% higher than in September last year. Compared to the value registered in the previous week, there was a slight increase of 0.4%.
