IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: DATAMAR ENDS RESELLING AGREEMENT WITH S&P GLOBAL

Jan, 16, 2024

Datamar, Brazil’s pioneering leader in trade data systems, has announced the termination of its reseller partnership with S&P Global (formerly Panjiva and IHS Markit), which saw Brazilian maritime transport data resold worldwide. The decision to end the partnership is part of Datamar’s international strategy, which will see it expand its presence in the United States, where it already has its own team. As a result of the termination, Datamar’s data sales will be handled exclusively through its own channels.

As part of the expansion Datamar is providing Chile trade data, in addition to all East Coast of South America countries. It hopes to complete coverage of all West Coast South America countries by the end of the year.

One of the company’s unique selling points is the accuracy of its data. From its early days, the company has invested in focusing on the quality of its information rather than great coverage, maintaining a close relationship with the maritime and foreign trade sectors. Integrating different countries’ databases on its platform in a way that allows users to compare apples with apples has always been a trademark of its data. Its commitment to customers is also seen through the frequent release of new data fields within its products, helping customers delve more deeply into the details of cargo being shipped.

Datamar provides data and market intelligence for maritime foreign trade in South America. Its primary tool, DataLiner, is an advanced business intelligence platform that offers over 200 data fields sources from multiple databases. The platform enables a thorough analysis of all maritime import and export operations in the region, ranging from specific product details to a full logistics profile of ports and terminals.
