The ICTSI International Container Terminal Services Group, through its wholly-owned subsidiary ICTSI Americas B.V., has acquired a 60% stake in CLIA POUSO ALEGRE, a Customs-Integrated Industrial Logistics Center in the burgeoning industrial region of Brazil, located in the state of Minas Gerais.
The facility covers an initial area of 28,000 square meters, which includes 4,000 square meters of warehouses with a significant expansion plan already underway. It also boasts a new portfolio to serve various sectors of international trade and local distribution.
Strategically situated in the southern region of Minas Gerais, the Customs-Integrated Industrial Logistics Center is close to key consumption and production areas in the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The expectation is that this new venture will expand the hinterland of the Port of Rio de Janeiro and, in conjunction with the RIO BRASIL TERMINAL, CLIA Pouso Alegre, and iTRACKER, establish itself as the premier logistics platform for imports and exports in a rapidly growing market.
