Brazilian Poultry Meat Exports Surge Over 60% in Revenue and Volume

According to information released by the Brazilian Federal Government’s Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) on Monday (25), exports of fresh, refrigerated, or frozen poultry meat and edible offal in the fourth week of March (16 business days) saw both revenue and volume shipped exceed 60%.

The revenue generated from poultry meat exports so far this month totals US$ 560,862,515, representing 62.23% of the total revenue collected in the entire month of March 2023, which amounted to US$ 901,250,770. In volume shipped, the 314,097,441 tonnes account for 64.91% of the total recorded in March last year, which was 483,886,424.

The daily average revenue up to this point of the month was US$ 35,053,907, marking a 10.5% decrease compared to March 2023. Compared to the previous week, there was a 4.18% decrease from the US$ 36,584,998 seen last week.

The average volume shipped per day was 19,631,090, representing a 6.7% decrease from the same month in 2023. The result was 4.70% lower than the previous week’s 20,600,765 tons.]

The price paid per ton, US$ 1,785,632, is 4.1% lower than in March last year. Compared to the value reached in the previous week, there was a modest increase of 0.54% compared to the value of US$ 1,775,904 seen last week.
