Bahia port authority issues public call for investors to area in the Port of Ilheús

The Bahia-state port authority CODEBA issued Public Call No. 002/2023 to locate those interested in using two areas located at Rua Lauro Farâni de Freitas, in Ilhéus, referred to as areas nº I and II in the Development and Zoning Plan of the Organized Port of Ilhéus. An old mill used to run in this area.
Individuals or legal entities, public or private, individually or in a consortium, previously authorized, who intend to hold economic activities related to the object of this operation may participate in this Public Call.
According to Codeba, the activities at the Industrial Storage Unit and wheat mill that have been paralyzed since 2012, through an onerous use assignment contract for 35 (thirty-five) years, extendable, under the terms of the Ordinance of the Ministry of Infrastructure No. 51 of March 23, 2021.
Also, still according to Codeba, interested parties will have an obligation to renovate the areas and facilities at their own risk and may, if necessary, submit clarification requests at apoio.gdn@codeba.gov.br with a copy to copel@codeba .gov.br, with the subject “Request for Clarification – Public Call No. 002/2023.” The deadline for receiving the expression of interest will be 30 (thirty) calendar days after the publication of the public call in Brazil’s official gazette.
