August: soy exports grow almost 20% compared to 2020

Exports of soybeans from Brazil generated US$ 2.407 billion in August (15 working days), with a daily average of US$ 160.529 million. The total quantity exported by the country in the period reached 4.994 million tons, with a daily average of 332,900 tons. The average price per ton was US$ 482.20.
In comparison with August 2020, there was an increase of 63.35% in average daily revenue and 19.79% in volume. The price rose 36.38%. The data are from the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Services and were released by the Foreign Trade Secretariat.
In July, soybeans led agro exports, accounting for 35.3% of the total and revenues of US$ 4.0 billion (an increase of 15.3% compared to the same period in 2020).
