A symbolic ceremony was held on Thursday (04) to mark the signing of a Use Assignment Term between the National Waterborne Transport Agency (ANTAQ) and the Federal Chemistry Council. This agreement grants the Federal Chemistry Council access to the source code of the ANTAQ-PRO system.
This program, developed by the Agency, is software that facilitates the creation of process and information management tools for ANTAQ’s Electronic Information System (SEI).
The source code will be used to assist in the administrative activities of the Federal Chemistry Council, thus increasing the entity’s efficiency and productivity.
Low-carbon hydrogen and environmental management initiatives are among the council’s sustainability-oriented projects that will benefit from the ANTAQ-PRO source code.
Sustainability expertise
During the meeting, they discussed the potential for the Federal Chemistry Council to support ANTAQ in sustainability projects, a current priority for the Agency.
“The council establish partnerships in the Environmental Performance Index (IDA) or other sustainability initiatives we are working on,” emphasized Eduardo Nery, ANTAQ’s general director.
The Environmental Performance Index (IDA) is an initiative sponsored by ANTAQ that evaluates the environmental management of port facilities and tracks its evolution over the years.
In addition to the general director, Professor Dr. José de Ribamar Oliveira Filho, president of the Federal Chemistry Council, and other representatives from the association attended the meeting.
