Green coffee exports from Brazil totaled 3.146 million units of 60-kilogram sacks in February, down 14.3% year-on-year, according to the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafé).
The president of the exporter’s association, Nicolas Rueda, informed that because we are currently in an off-season period that followed a shorter production cycle, this result is actually considered positive, “not far from the performance seen in February 2021, which was quite significant”.
Shipments of Arabica beans totaled 3.016 million bags, a 10.2 % decrease year on year, while foreign sales of the robusta fell 58.6 % to 129,800 bags over the same period.
