TecPlata Terminal receives its first vessel – Jacaranda

TecPlata Container Terminal celebrated the terminal’s inaugural vessel call by LogIn vessel Jacaranda yesterday. Login will call at Tecplata as part of its current bi-weekly South Atlantic service, according to DatamarNews. The service already calls at Rio de la Plata Terminal (TRP).
The port rotation for Login’s South Atlantic Service is:
ARBUE – UYMVD – BRRIG – BRITJ – BRSSZ – BRSUA – BRPEC – BRSSA – BRSSZ – BRITJ – ARBUE
DatamarNews said, the terminal plans to double its stowage capacity to 900,000 containers a year (requiring an investment of US$150m) from its current capacity of 400,000 containers.
TecPlata Terminal’s infrastructure and support facilities are as follows, according to its website:
Tecplata Terminal area: 41 hectares
Berth: 660m quay(final design 820m)
Container Yard: 25 hectares(final design 35 hectares)
Reefer Stack: 1,020 plugs (final design 2,000 plugs)
Storage Capacity: 450,000 TEUs per year (900,000 TEU once fully developed)
Entrance Gates: 7 lanes and parking lot for 200 trucks
On-Site Maintenance Workshop: 1
On-Site Reefer Repair Workshop: 1
Power Stations: 4 Substations
Equipment: 4 Post-Panamax quay cranes. STS cranes 55 m outreach -55ts SWL twin-lift capacity, 9 Rubber Tired Gantries 5 plus 1.20
