Santos led soy exports in July

The Port of Santos was the main exporter of Brazilian soybeans in July 2021. In all, 1.855 million tons were exported in July, up 4% compared to July 2020. The second busiest port for soybean exports was the Port of Paranaguá, Paraná, which exported 1.574 million tons.

Then came Rio Grande (RS), with 1.307 million tons, followed by São Luís (MA), which exported 1.258 million tons.

Brazil’s total exports were 8.663 million tons in July. In 2021, the accumulated volume reached 66.201 million tons through June.

As for soybean meal, the Port of Santos also led exports in July this year, shipping 800,700 tons of the by-product. However, the volume is 2% lower than that exported a year earlier. Paranaguá (PR) was in second place, shipping 460,800 tons – a drop of 14% – and Rio Grande (RS) in third place, with 377,900 tons, an increase of 25%.

In all, the country exported 1.987 million tons of soybean meal in the month, an increase of 16% over the same period last year, when 1.713 million tons exported.
