In 2024, the Port of Santos was responsible for 71% of the Free on Board (FOB) value of Brazil’s coffee exports in US dollars, solidifying its position as the country’s main maritime export corridor for coffee.
During the same period, over 1.8 million tons of coffee were handled at the Santos port complex—a 20% increase compared to 2023. This volume is expected to continue growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.5% through 2030.
Below is a historical overview of coffee beans exports from Santos Port. The chart was prepared using DataLiner data:

“The data, sourced from the Comex system, reinforces the port’s essential role in Brazil’s logistics chain and its contribution to the country’s global leadership in coffee production and exports,” said a statement from the Santos Port Authority (APS).
“The relationship between Santos and coffee is a historic one. In the late 19th century, coffee cultivation and trade fueled the city’s development, transforming the port into a national landmark. This connection remains strong today, shaping the region’s economic and cultural identity,” said APS President Anderson Pomini.
In recognition of coffee’s significance to the port sector, the APS—which manages the public infrastructure of the Santos complex—will sponsor the 10th Coffee Dinner and Summit, organized by the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafé). The event will take place from July 2 to 4, 2025, in Campinas (SP), bringing together authorities, experts, and industry leaders.
