The Brazilian government welcomed the announcement from Peru approving the sanitary requirements for importing non-edible bovine bone gelatin and collagen from Brazil.
This is the tenth market access achieved for Brazilian agribusiness products in Peru within the past year. From January 2023 to October 2024, Brazilian agricultural exports to Peru surpassed $1.27 billion, with key exports including forestry products, meat, and the soybean complex.
With this new authorization, Brazilian agribusiness has reached its 199th market access this year, totaling 277 opportunities across 61 destinations since early 2023.
These results reflect the collaborative efforts of Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
