Coffee, seafood, textiles, machinery, and vehicles are among the potential products that could strengthen the trade balance between Brazil and Honduras. These opportunities were discussed during a meeting held on June 18 between Márcio Elias Rosa, Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC), and Miguel Medina, Minister of Investment Promotion of Honduras.

In addition to trade issues, the Honduran minister also expressed interest in increasing cooperation with Brazil. “We already have a successful trade relationship with Brazil and want to expand other forms of partnership,” he said. Medina requested support from MDIC to conduct a Brazilian business mission to Honduras, which is being planned for the second half of the year.

Secretary Márcio Elias Rosa stated that there is significant interest from Brazilian companies in increasing trade and investment with Honduras. He also confirmed the Brazilian government’s commitment to advancing the trade agenda. “We want to thrive in this partnership and develop economic complementarity, especially in strategic areas such as decarbonization and digitalization,” he noted.
