Bolivia trade via Paraguay-Parana waterway reaches 1.3 million tons in 2019

2019 was a successful year for Bolivia’s international trade through the Paraguay-Paraná waterway, according to Rafael Rivas, technical manager of the Santa Cruz Exporters Chamber (Cadex). A total of 1.3 million tons of export and import cargo were transported via the river.
According to Rivas, in 2018, 1.1 million tons were transported via the waterway.
In 2019, the main products exported via the river were soybeans and its derivatives, beans, sesame seeds and beef.
