
Beef Exports Rise 16.3% in Volume and 29.1% in Revenue

Brazil’s exports of fresh beef, chilled or frozen, totaled 241,584 tonnes in April 2025, a 16.3% increase compared to the 207,717 tonnes shipped in April 2024, according to data released this Wednesday by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC).
The revenue generated reached USD 1.215 billion, a 29.1% increase from USD 941 million in the same month last year. The average price per tonne rose 11%, from USD 4,530.90 to USD 5,030.30.
In April, shipments of chicken meat totaled 440,666 tonnes, a 2.6% decrease from the 452,486 tonnes exported in April 2024. Revenue stood at USD 809 million, down 1% from USD 817 million a year earlier. The average price per tonne increased slightly by 1.7%, from USD 1,805.10 to USD 1,835.00.

Pork exports totaled 110,677 tonnes in April, up 14.4% from 96,744 tonnes in April 2024. Revenue rose 24.3%, from USD 223 million to USD 277 million. The average price per tonne increased 8.6%, from USD 2,300.70 to USD 2,499.40.
Performance in the First Four Months
From January to April 2025, Brazil exported 911 thousand tonnes of beef, an increase of 9.2% compared to the 834 thousand tonnes in 2024. Revenue totaled USD 4.421 billion, up 20.4% from the USD 3.673 billion recorded in the first four months of last year.
Chicken exports totaled 1.790 million tonnes, a growth of 8% over the 1.658 million tonnes in 2024. Revenue amounted to USD 3.343 billion, a 12.6% increase over the USD 2.969 billion one year earlier.
Pork shipments reached 436 thousand tonnes from January to April, a 13.5% increase over the 384 thousand tonnes in the same period of 2024. Revenue was USD 1.054 billion, up 27.9% from the USD 824 million registered in the previous year.
