The total number of vessel calls at Brazilian ports dropped slightly by 2% during the first nine months of 2018, year-on-year. The most notable changes during this period comparison were as follows:
• Santos saw 1% more number of vessels
• Paranaguá vessel calls fell by 1%
• Rio Grande calls plunged 10%
• Rio de Janeiro up 14%
• Suape had 10% less vessel calls
• Vila do Conde calls fell 10%
• Navegantes calls went down 18%
• Pecem had 11% more vessel calls
• Fortaleza saw no significant changes
• Itajai had a massive 70% increase in the number of vessel calls
