Overall, the total number of vessel calls at Brazilian ports dropped slightly by 2% during the first five months of 2018, compared to the same period last year. The most notable changes observed were as follows:
• Santos saw a 3% increase in vessel calls
• Rio Grande calls plunged 16% • Suape had 7% less vessel calls
• Salvador calls fell 23%
• Navegantes calls went down 18%
• Pecem calls increased by 16%
• Fortaleza had 10% more vessel calls
• Itajai had a massive 57% increase in vessel calls
