Santos Brasil is expanding its presence in the transportation sector, having recently secured five new contracts with clients operating in strategic market segments such as automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, and retail industries. These clients also benefit from other Company assets, including Tecon Santos and the Customs Industrial Logistic Centers (Clias Santos and Guarujá) at the Port of Santos, as well as the Distribution Center in São Bernardo do Campo.

Equipped with both its own fleet and outsourced resources, the company is investing in upgrading its transportation management technology platform to enhance visibility, control, and efficiency across its operations. This investment encompasses various aspects, ranging from trip planning and cargo scheduling to real-time monitoring and client billing. The new Transportation Management System (TMS), with an investment of R$ 1.5 million, is set to be operational in the second half of the year.

Furthermore, significant investments have been made in technological advancements, particularly evident in the implementation of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) at the Distribution Center since last year. In the fourth quarter of 2023, Santos Brasil Logistics invested R$ 7.4 million, primarily directed towards technology and system projects, including the WMS at the Distribution Center and enhancements to wireless and data networks.

Alfredo Nunes, Director of Logistics at Santos Brasil, emphasizes that these investments extend to personnel recruitment and training. “We are enhancing our transportation operations and all aspects of integrated logistics services and 3PL operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, productivity, and streamlined process management for our clients. Our goal is to offer a premium and personalized service, which is the hallmark of the Company.”
