Exports to drive Brazil’s chicken meat industry in 2024

Calculations performed by the Applied Economics Study Center (Cepea) at Esalq/USP indicate that chicken meat production is expected to engage in a steady growth pattern in 2024, with the robust pace of international sales as the decisive factor for this ongoing trend.
According to Cepea researchers, commercial missions and promotion campaigns for the Brazilian chicken market have been intensifying and are anticipated to yield positive results.
In addition to opening new markets, well-established partners are likely to increase their purchases, with China being a notable example. Initial data from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) highlight that Brazilian meat exports are projected to grow by nearly 4% in 2024, surpassing the global average of under 3%.
