Beef: exports from Uruguay fall 19% in July

Beef exports from Uruguay were down 19% in July 2023 compared to last year, according to the Uruguay XXI report. Exports in July totaled US$ 144 million, below the US$ 177 million reached in the same month last year.
See below Uruguay’s beef exports shipped in containers between Jan 2019 and Apr 2023, according to information by Datamar’s maritime intelligence service DataLiner.

In the period from January to July, exports decreased by 31% compared to the same period in 2022, mainly explained by lower demand from China.
