The health services of Argentina and Mexico have agreed on the last details of the health certificate that will accompany beef exports to the country up north, said the agency that oversees products of animals and plant origin Senasa in a statement.
On November 11, Mexico opened the market to Argentine beef, authorizing the import of meat produced in 22 Argentine plants.
Negotiations between the two countries took more than eight years.
“The agreement between the two sanitation agencies on the animal health requirements that the certificate will contemplate was the only step left before the start of shipments,” Senasa explained in the note.
