Portonave set a new container throughput record in September 2022, the month in which the terminal saw its best performance of the year- well above 2021’s results. Access to the Gate also set a record for trucks entering and leaving in a single day, with a flow of 2,600 vehicles.
The month closed with a throughput of 110,700 TEUs, a milestone that tops the previous record of 109,000 TEUs, coincidentally obtained in September 2021. Year-to-date, the terminal saw 487,000 containers from January to September this year and 479,000 in the same period of 2021.
Regarding exports, 40,900 containers were shipped, mainly to the USA, China, Mexico, Japan, and South Africa. As for imports, Portonave saw the arrival of 44.4 thousand containers, most of them from China, the USA, Belgium, Germany, and Colombia.
