JBS, the largest global meat company, is optimistic about the prospects for the demand of beef sales to Asia, mainly China, as per capita consumption of the product in the region remains low, said the company’s chief executive, Gilberto Tomazoni, on Friday, August 12.
“The growth in beef imports in Asia is structural since (consumer) spending power improved,” Tomazoni said during a conference call to review second-quarter results.
