The BRF unit in Campos Novos is ready to export pork to Canada, marking the company’s first such permit. BRF was permitted to ship cooked poultry meat from its factory in Toledo, Paraná, to the northern nation in May.
“This new certification is a milestone as it represents the opening of an important market for a new type of product, creating the possibility that new authorizations will emerge soon and positively impacting our export volume,” said Leonardo Dall’Orto, vice president of International Market and Planning at BRF.
The Campos Novos BRF unit will export fresh and frozen pork to Canada. The plant is one of the company’s newest facilities and the one with the highest number of export licenses, including to South Korea, China, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina.
