“Mesa enlace,” a group of organizations linked to the Argentine agribusiness sector, has announced a day of protest on July 13 with a total cessation of commercialization amid the country’s harvest crisis, which includes a scarcity of diesel and carrier demonstrations.
“Those hereby agree that the agro-industrial chain is part of the solution and way out of this crisis. We are united in the current scenario by a shared vision with the conviction that the sector can grow in production, export, supply, as well as expand the generation of bioenergy and create more job opportunities,” said Mesa Enlance in a statement released after leaders from all over the supply chain met.
In another part of the document, the organization highlighted that “access to diesel and fertilizers is urgent to avoid a total stoppage of the productive apparatus. We also ask for fewer harmful interventions, on top of reducing public spending and ending the energy crisis.”
