Argentine farmers sell 34.1m tons of 20/21 soybeans

Argentine farmers sold 34.1 million tons of soybeans so far for the 2020/21 season, after transactions of 472,100 tons were registered in one week, informed the Ministry of Agriculture on Wednesday, in a report with data updated until November 10th.
The pace of sales of one of Argentina’s main crops fell short compared to the previous crop, when sales of 35.1 million tons of the oilseed were registered on the same date, according to official information.
The 2020/21 soybean harvest in Argentina ended June with an output of 43.1 million tons according to the Buenos Aires Cereals Exchange, which estimated the 2019/20 season crop at 49 million tons.
Regarding the 2021/22 soybeans that began being planted last month in Argentina, 3.1 million tons have already been sold, according to official data. The exchange estimates the new soybean harvest to reach 44 million tons.
